1.6x Ultra-Vex?
I was just checking out the K-Mars list of lenses and saw stock lenses called 1.6X Ultra-Vex. K-Mars customer service couldn't help me, nor could Google. Does anyone here know if it's simply MR-8 or if it's something different?

Western labs selling stock lenses
I had a situation last night. A guy had lost his glasses in a river (-7 ish OU) and is going on a trip early tomorrow. I ordered lenses last night at 6:50 PM, from VE, told them I need them today, was told "no problem", and, of course, didn't get them today because they're still in MN.
Wanting a lab from which I could order stock lenses later in the day and still get them the next day here in MA, I called the lab in WA where Sharpstick works. I was told the truck from there leaves at about 3:30 Pacific time (6:30 Eastern time) -- not an improvement for me. I also called Vision Warehouse -- even worse (about 5:30 Eastern time). That place suggested I try Nassau West. I was told by the Nassau customer service person I could order lenses from them up until 5:00 Pacific time, but my order would come from either New Jersey or Ohio and, therefore, would ship out only as late as 5:30 Eastern.
Does anyone have the name of another lab with a later -- say, 8:00 Eastern (5:00 Pacific) -- cut-off time for next-day shipments?

Definitions of common terms
I'm reposting these definitions from the emmetropia thread hoping that it will help communications. I will edit this first post if anyone finds an error or wants me to add any items or clarifications.
all definitions assume accommodation is at rest, except for the first one and the last 5.
Accommodation (aka focusing): temporarily changing the refractive state of an eye resulting from a change in the crystalline lens shape due to an autonomic stimulus of the ciliary muscle.
Emmetropia=0.00 refractive error
Myopia (aka near-sightedness, short-sightedness)=negative refractive error, using spherical equivalent when astigmatism is present
Hyperopia (aka far-sightedness, long-sightedness, hypermetropia)=positive refractive error, using spherical equivalent " ".
Ametropia=any refractive state other than emmetropia.
Regular Astigmatism=any toric or cylindrical refractive error that can be completely defined by adding a cylinder and axis to a spherical component
Irregular astigmatism=any toric or cylindrical refractive error than cannot be completely defined by sphere cylinder and axis.
Anisometropia=a significant difference in refraction between the two eyes
Antimetropia=myopia in one eye and hyperopia in the other
Presbyopia=age related decrease in accommodation function
Heterotropia (aka strabismus, squint)=a manifest misalignment of the visual axes of the two eyes. (Esotropia is inward deviation, aka crossed eyes, exotropia is outward deviation aka wall eyed, hypertropia/hypotropia are vertical deviations)
Heterophoria=a latent misalignment of the visual axes of the two eyes (esophoria, exophoria, hyperphoria, and hypophorias are similar latent tendencies as above)
Orthophoria=zero misalignment of the visual axes of the two eyes.
Amblyopia (aka lazy eye, amblyopia ex anopsia)=an otherwise healthy eye that is not correctible to normal acuity due to strabismus, or to moderate to large amounts of uncorrected ametropias in childhood.
