We have the ordering physician’s name. Not the name of the supplier. I have Humanaand Blue Cross Medicare Advantage denying claims stating that they physician isnot the supplier and want the name of the facility – Eye Physicians Optical. Actually now Humana is taking money back from 2014 and 2015. To date, Noridian Medicare has been processing and paying our claims withthe ordering physician’s name in Box 31. I’m well aware that just becauseMedicare pays doesn’t mean that the claim is correct. When I calledMedicare they stated I could have either the ordering physician name or thename of the facility in box 31.
Question for those who have an optical dispensary,
What do you put for the supplier name or ordering physician?
If you put the ordering physician is it because they are also a provider in the dispensary
I don’t want to make changes for Humana and Blue CrossMedicare Advantage and mess up all my claims. Please help someone!
