I have been running an amazing software package for drill-mounts and everything else you could want in software for a finishing lab but it was only able to run on XP. We have over 10,000 jobs and 3,000 patterns we are fond of and would rather not loose or not be able to copy.
What started as asking for new software to be written by Dave at Optivision and a new blocker from Santinelli ended up with them getting my package to run on a modern computer with all components attached and working better than ever!! The new blocker that can also take a picture of the demo lens has surpassed all expectations already; we did not know a blocker could make our life that much easier and the quality went from very close to perfect! It is the Ice 900 that is attached to a 980 high-curve tracer and the ME1200 set up to eat trivex!
Shout out to Dave from Optivision (sponsor as well) and Robert Greco from Santinelli for coming to see me 3 times with a 5 hour drive to get this working.:cool:
Dave spent time in his office trying to get it to work and then spent hours in my machine via remote to get me working; there was no way I was getting this done without help from Dave and the perseverance of Robert.
Thanks for all your help and once we have a new software package built to replace the old one you all will be the first to know and try it.
