Morning optiboard,
So I have a patient, female, early 30's, lifetime glasses wearer, w/ -3.50-0.50 OU (differing axis). Anywho, first new RX in 3-4 years mild change in both eyes, new set is a Poly Aspheric w/ AR, old set is Poly Aspheric w/o AR (smaller lens size then newer set). She also received a set of trial contacts at the appointment and they work fine for her.
The trouble is with her new glasses she is expressing some significant distortion towards the periphery of the lens, vertically and horizontally. I've checked the glasses twice over and can find no errors nor imperfections. She's had them nearly a month now, but it's hard to say whether or not she's really giving them a chance as she always comes in wearing the older set...
So recap:
New set, -3.50 -0.50 OU Poly Aspheric w/AR, rectangular lens
Old set, -3.25 -0.75/ -3.50 -0.25, Poly Aspheric w/o AR, round lens
