We are soon moving our location, adding an exam lane, a doctor, accepting insurance, etc etc etc. Basically becoming adults in the optical world :-). We have been using QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets (Old School) since our start date with no doctor or insurance.
So, now that we are migrating and I wanted to see what you guys recommend for software programs that are not going to break the bank? I know these programs can be VERY costly and I just can justify some of the prices. We do not need online capability, we only need:
Inventory Control
Invoicing
Patient Records (Prescription Info and Customer Info)
Insurance Billing Capabilities (Quick Codes, etc)
Appointment Scheduling (Auto Appointment Reminders)
That is all I can think of. Any suggestion to what else we may need and the software programs you would recommend AND their cost would GREATLY appreciated!
