I'm currently attending classes to get my optician's license. We recently had an assignment about the eye exam and there were a few questions that after a week of research and talking with other students, I'm still not able to find. I was hoping you guys might be able to help me out or point me in the right direction.
1. The detail that must be detected on an object in order to positively identify it is known as what?
2. Using the test letter E, the minimum detail is exactly what percentage of the whole letter?
3. If a patient fails to read any symbols smaller than those on the 20/40 line of the
chart, how is their vision described?
I've gotten the other 53 questions done already, so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Visual Acuity Questions
1. The detail that must be detected on an object in order to positively identify it is known as what?
- I thought this one might be minimum cogniziable, but it didn't seem to fit completely
2. Using the test letter E, the minimum detail is exactly what percentage of the whole letter?
- I wasn't really sure on this one. I tried searching for several terms and combinations and wasn't able to find anything close to what the question was asking.
3. If a patient fails to read any symbols smaller than those on the 20/40 line of the
chart, how is their vision described?
- I think this one is mild vision loss, it was the only thing I saw to describe the 20/40-20/70 range
I've gotten the other 53 questions done already, so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
