We are looking for a highly motivated individual with outstanding customer service and sales skills. Candidate must have a genuine interest in helping people. You must possess the desire to always go above and beyond with patients’ expectations to offer 5 star service. The right fit for our practice is a professional with great commitment level, outstanding work ethic, prompt, organized and computer/technical savvy. ABO certification is a plus, however, we will offer training and certification to the right candidate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Examine and fill prescriptions written by Optometrists
Recommend ophthalmic frames, lenses, lens coatings/ materials after considering prescriptions, occupations, hobbies, lifestyle, habits and facial features
Interpret prescriptions, conduct patient consultation, recommend frames and lenses and take appropriate frame styling measurements
Interpret and calculate insurance benefits and copays based on insurance eligibility
Prepare work orders for labs
Repair, adjust and refit broken or damaged frames
Troubleshoot, instruct and consult with clients about adapting and wearing or caring for eyeglasses
Verify, dispense and adjust glasses
Maintain display and inventory of optical merchandise and retail, optical sales floor area and dispensary
