Final Inspector - Hoya, Portland

HoyaVision Care, a leader in the optical industry, has an opening for a Final Inspector in our Portland, OR office.

Summary

Inspect completed ophthalmic lenses and frame.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1) Check optics per industry standards.
2) Use Lenosmeter
3) Check visual condition and quality of completed jobs.
4) Know reasons to reject and where to expedite
5) Understand industry standard tolerance procedures.
6) Need to understand Rx and work ticket.
7) Assist other departments with optical and lens style questions.
8) Check optics for prescription and/or defects.
9) Check frame alignment, coatings and orientation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to read prescriptions with lensometer.
Good computer skills.
Able to read and write English well.
Have good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience.
Able and willing to work as a team.
Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when needed.
Optical experience preferred.
